Category 2 vehicles can run Lumenition optronic electronic ignition.
Gearbox.
Three or Four syncromesh. Straight Cut Gears. (Dog engagement is not allowed)
Rear Axle.
Standard axle with LSD. Uprated 3 piece half shafts may be used. These comprise a shaft, drive flange and securing nut.
Brakes.
Front. Solid brake disc.
Rear: Standard drum.
Tandem master cylinder. Adjustable brake pedal box. As long as it cannot be adjusted by driver or navigator when normally seated.
Suspension.
Front.
Lever arm.
The fitting of a front damper top link kit so as to provide an additional link on the opposite side of the lever armshock absorber to the original lever arm is permitted. The top link kit is available from peter@petermayengineering.co.uk
Rear.
Lever arm or Telescopic.
Wheels & Tyres.
Wheel rim, tyre size and profile as per MSUK NCR’s..
General.
Fibre glass bonnet or boot lid. Composite side windows.
Alloy centrally mounted replacement petrol tank.
